Without your work, the Marines there would only have binos and scopes.” • Colonel Jeffrey Butters, USMC, MARCENT • Provides web-based rapid identification of potential bed-down locations around the world & Course of Analysis (COA) assessments in early campaign planning • Replaces Logistician’s Contingency Assessment Tools (LOGCAT) and saves AF $200K/yr in maintenance costs • Fielded 10 Sep 08

Results: Moved 9K cargo items and 645 aircraft pallets within the AOR in short order “Federated Security Services” Access to DoD-wide Applications via Federated Single Sign-On
Project: Data at Rest (DaR) – Air Force Objective: Encryption of Sensitive Unclassified Data at Rest on Mobile Computing Devices and Removable Storage Media Scope: JTF-GNO CTO 08-001, 9 Jan 08 – requires implementation of encryption on all mobile devices (laptop, Blackberry, thumb drive, etc) Main Points: All unclassified DoD data not approved for public release and stored on mobile media is treated as sensitive data and encrypted Cryptography shall be NIST FIPS 140-2 compliant DoD components shall purchase DaR encryption products through the DoD Enterprise Software Initiative Timeline: Estimated RFI - Next Week RFP Release - 2nd Qtr FY ‘09 Award - 3rd Qtr FY ‘09 AF Enterprise-wide rollout via CITS DaR solution to more than 650,000 laptops, desktops and other mobile devices Upcoming Acquisitions
Project: Global Combat Support Systems – Air Force (GCSS-AF) Re-compete Objective: Replace expiring GCSS Contract with Sustainment. Scope: Sustainment, Systems Engineering, and Management of the GCSS-AF Core and Exploitation services. Core services leverage computing services, i.e. security, discovery, Enterprise Service Bus (ESB) messaging/mediation, data services, collaboration, application and portal. Exploitation services include technical direction and architecture, platform engineering, mission capabilities, customer service, and operations and support. Solutions Contracts Definitions NETOPS/Network Infrastructure Services Enterprise services for computing, communications, and transport of data, voice, video, potential consolidation of enterprise services for Area Processing Center (APC), development and adaptation of infrastructure to integrate with the target AF SOA and corresponding AFNETOPS implementation to include AF Enterprise Level Security Implementation. Application Services (non-embedded) Sustain, migrate, and test applications, to include training, security, and integration. Other tasks may include converting applications into services to expose data from legacy environments, and migration of applications and/or data to new AF enterprise environments. Content Delivery & Presentation Services (formerly titled “SOA”) Includes Authoritative Data/Content Delivery Services to expose Community of Interest (COI) defined data IAW developer guides and data source connectivity. Provides design and implementation services that exploit data retrieved from Net-centric data services to deliver specific mission capability.
