1. Current Status of the SSC CGL Exam 2018 The SSC CGL Exam Dates are schedule by the Staff Selection Commission. The Staff Selection Commission is the most recommendable organisation in our country for conducting different kinds of exam under the Government level. The CGL is one such exam conducted by SSC .The exam is usually conducted to select officers in the non-technical Group ‘B’ and Group ‘C’ non gazetted post under the various Ministries Government of India. Thousand of vacancies are filled by SSC every year in the Government sector. The most demanding job in today’s world is the Government sector job. This is because the government is providing a lot of facilities and services in all aspect of life. Government is putting a lot of effort in creating government jobs to millions of people in the country. A leading organization is the SSC which is providing employment to the students of India. The CGL exam is conducted for the recruitment of the following post in the government sector Assistants in Ministries/Departments Central Excise / Custom Inspectors Income Tax Inspectors Customs Preventive Officers Custom Examiners Central Bureau of Narcotics & CBI Sub Inspectors. Assistant Enforcement Officer in Directorate of Enforcement in various offices of Govt. of India.. Accountant/ Junior Accountant Tax Assistant in CBDT and CBEC         

2. The compiler in Registrar General of India.  Eligibility Candidates who want to apply for the CGL exam must possess a graduate degree on or 1st August 2018. That candidate who is in the final year of the graduation can also apply for the SSC CGL Online Test. Age Limit The prescribed age limit to apply for the exam is 27 years which is the minimum and the maximum is 32 years. The following age relaxation is available: State wise reservation is not available. SC/ST/OBC-NCL/ PH category will be provided reservation. Relaxation will be provided to the Ex-Serviceman candidate However female candidates will not get any preferences for this exam.     Process for Applying for CGL Exam People applying for the CGL exam has to follow the below mentioned steps They have to first go to the official website SSC.Nic.in They have to first register as a new user in the website by creating a new user id using a valid email and phone number. An OTP will be generated for the ID which can be used in the CGL portal. A candidate can apply online or through a challan. A scanned copy of the passport size photograph, signature and thumb impression will be required to fill the application     Admit Card Admit card will be issued by the SSC for the different regions. A candidate needs to login to the official website of the SSC to download the admit card.Admit cards for all the 4 levels will be issued online. Exam Pattern The CGL exams is conducted in 4 tiers : Tier I and Tier II is conducted online , Tier III will be a written test and Tier IV will be computer based test. Cut-off

3. A candidate appearing in the CGL exam must secure the minimum qualifying marks if he wants to go to the Tier II level. The officials of the SSC will usually decide on the qualifying marks which will be final. The points which will be considered in deciding the qualifying marks will be as follows: Overall candidates appearing for the exam Overall vacancies issued in the year in 2018 Overall vacancies issued Regionwise in 2018. The difficulty level of the exam.     Selection Process The SSC CGL examination process is divided into 4 levels. The process will be as mentioned under A candidate who has qualified in Tier I will be eligible to appear for Tier II.  To select for the Tier I exam you need to the complete SSC CGL Syllabus for the exam 2018. Need to prepare for the exam very hard to clear the exam. A candidate who has cleared Tier II can appear for Tier III and IV However, the final result will depend on the cumulative marks of Tier I, Tier II and Tier III.
