Grammar (1st semester) • The consonants: Qamrin and Xemxin • The article • The demostrative pronouns: din, dan, dawn, dik, dak, dawk • Nouns: Common and Proper • Nouns: Singular and Plural • Plural: Regular and Irregular (Sħiħ and Miksur)
Objectives • Listening: • Students will be able to answer questions related to what they have heard. • After a listening activity, students will be able to discuss topics/themeswith the rest of the class. • Students will be engaged in activities which would help formulate their opinion about a topic/theme.
Objectives • Speaking: • Students are to speak Maltese during the Maltese class. • Students will be given structured tasks which would in turn help them gain the ability to speak to an audience about a subject of their own choice. • Students will be given tasks which would help them learn how to express their opinions about the theme currently at hand.
Objectives • Reading: • Students will read different genres like stories, legends, poetry, newspapers, magazines. • Students will be given tasks which would help them read fluently and with meaning in front of an audience. • Students are to answer, both orally and in writing, to questions related to what they have read.
Objectives • Writing: • Students will be able to write more complex sentences with correct punctuation and structure. • Students will be able to write a number of sentences about a picture or a theme. • Students will be able to stucture their ideas using mind maps. • Students will be able to answer questions in full.
