What They Do? • Reviews prescriptions to assure accuracy. • Provides information and advice regarding side effects. • Assesses the identity, strength and purity of medications. • Maintains records, such as pharmacy files. • Compounds and dispenses medications as prescribed. • Teaches pharmacy students serving as interns.

Plans, implements, and maintains procedures for mixing, packaging, and labeling. • Advises customers on the selection of medication brand. • Provides specialized services to help patients. • Manages conditions such as diabetes, asthma, smoking, etc. • Collaborates with other health care professionals.
