  3. EN 4179/NAS 410 1.3. Implementation This standard merges the NDT personnel certification requirements of NAS 410 and EN 4179. It introduces the concept of NANDTB from EN 4179, but it is not mandatory to have such a board for compliance with this document 3.17. An independent national aerospace organization representing a nation s aerospace industry that is chartered by the participating prime contractors and recognized by the nation regulatory agencies to provide or support NDT qualification and examination services in accordance with this standard.

  6. Situation in Czech Republic • ALV CR – Association of Aviation Manufacturers • Only one representative of Czech aerospace industry • Full member of ASD (previous AECMA) • Members of ALV employ 12000 employees • Czech NANDTB was founded 27th June 2002 by ALV CR

Status of Czech NANDTB • NANDTB is a part of ALV (Association of Aviation Manufacturers) • Members of NANDTB are appointed by ALV president • NANDTB is founded for preparation of audit documents and for a final approval • All activities of NANDTB members are covered by employers • NANDTB has no budget

  8. NANDTB Membership • Representatives of: • Aeronautical research institute • Engine producer • Primary structure producer • Maintenance and Overhaul • Qualification provider • CAA • All representatives are members of ALV (except CAA)

Goals of NANDTB - documents • Approval procedure for: • Employer qualification system • Outside Agency • Qualification system covered by abroad NANDTB • Internal NANDTB documents: • NANDTB Quality manual • Procedure for employer qualification system approval • Procedure for Outside Agency (Qualification Provider) approval • Procedure for employer qualification system approval provided by abroad NANDTB • Questionnaires

  10. Goals of NANDTB - activities • Appointment of auditors team • Final approval of audited systems • Signing of approvals • Revisions of NANDTB documents • Notice – NANDTB is represented by Secretary

  11. RESULTS • Czech NANDTB is accepted by Czech and Slovak CAA • In Czech Republic is used Outside Agency system predominantly

  12. HARMONIZATION? • Standards EN 4179 x NAS 410 • NANDTB activities • Proposal of BINDT under umbrella of EFNDT • Better possibility is to use organization of manufacturers – ASD PRO (PRI NADCAP)
