What is Oasis? • Electronic system for storing student records • @ UCF: Official student record • Used to track student duty hours, patient logs… • Students “self-report” • School uses to monitor for issues/rapid response
If you are just starting with Oasis: • Establish data entry policy at start of academic year • Inform students of policy • Uniform entry policy simplifies reports process
UCF Policy • Student enters total weekly hours in Oasis • Student notes reasons for weeks >80 hours: • “two On-Call assignments” • Coordinator monitors totals for ongoing compliance
How does Oasis Work? • Video #1: How students Log hours
Oasis Reports • Process is anchored in Requirements Checklists • See student progress reports • View student checklists (individual students) • Run requirements checklist reports
Oasis, Why “We” use it: • We can check: Is student logging weekly & in compliance? • Easy to check individual students or entire group • It’s Easy: Reports export to Excel and can be sorted
How do we retrieve reports? • Video #2: Coordinator/Director Usage • Requirement Checklist Report (status, all students) • View Student Checklist (individual detailed report) • Requirement Checklist Entries Report (excel format report of all entries)
