Methodology • Same as prior revisions • Methodology developed by Kevin Hollenbeck, Upjohn Institute • Update data • Projected Job Openings: 2006-2016 • Most Recent Median Wage Data: 2008 • Number of Related Placements: 2010
Steps Followed • Federal CIPxSOC crosswalk used to identify occupations (Job Zones 3 and 4) • Program Consultants and subject area advisory groups review list of occupations • List of occupations modified based on input • Rank programs – all three data elements equally weighted
Job Zone 3 • Previous work-related skill, knowledge or experience required • Require training in vocational schools, related on-the-job experience, or an associate’s degree. Some may require a bachelor’s degree • Usually involve using communication and organizational skills to coordinate, supervise, manage, or train others
Job Zone 4 • Minimum of two to four years of work-related skill, knowledge, or experience. • Most require a four-year bachelor’s degree • Involve coordinating, supervising, managing, or training others
Timeline • Will be applied to the 2011-12 enrollment data submitted on the Spring 2012 4483 enrollment Report • Which will be used to fund programs in 2012-13
