John 10:28-30 My sheep listen to my voice. I know them and they follow me. I give them eternal life and they shall never perish. No one can snatch them out of my hand.
John 17:12 (revisited) No one (who truly belonged to Me) was lost; but the son of lostness (was lost), (because he never did truly belong to Me).
Why didn't Christ protect and keep Judas safe? (Like He did the others) While the 11 had been given by the Father to Christ, Judas had never been given to Christ.
Did Christ not have the power to keep Judas safe? "He is able to save completely those who come to God through Him..." - Hebrews 7:25. Judas never had saving faith.
Does God "doom" people to destruction? No. God simply allows some people to continue willingly in their own sin.
Could I be "doomed" to destruction? No. "Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ and you will be saved." - Acts 16:31
Can I lose my salvation? "No one can snatch them out of my hand." - John 10:30 In Christ you are safe...forever.
How can I be sure that I am saved? (that I am one of Christ's)
How can I be sure that I am saved? (that I am one of Christ's) There is a continual looking to Christ in your soul. There is a growing hatred of sin, especially the remaining sin in your own self. There is a growing longing to be with Christ in heaven. There is a growing delight in the Word of God.
How can I be sure that I am saved? (that I am one of Christ's) There is the desire for others to know Jesus like you do. There is the desire for God to be glorified, in your life and in others' lives. There is the enjoyment of fellowshipping with God's people. Love, grace, and humility are extended to others.
"For every look at yourself, take 10 looks at Christ."
