  3. Task Two Read the poem ‘The Justice Bell’ by Dave Kirby and highlight the poetic techniques used within the poem. Answer the discussion questions either in groups or individually.

  4. Discussion Questions • What is the poem about? • Who are the 96 souls? • What happened when the clock was locked at 3:06? • Why does the poet call the crowd a ‘sea of death’? What poetic device is this? • Can you find examples of personification in the poem?

  5. Task Three Can you write your own poem dedicated to the Hillsborough disaster?
