  3. Counts the number of cells that have the same content as the criteria. The following example shows the number of cells that contain the number 100. The formula entered in the B1 cell is =countif(A1:A3,100) .

  6. This function adds numbers that have the same value. Place the cursor in the B3 cell.Enter this formula: =sumif(A1:A3,100) .
