HELPFUL HINTS for 4060s • No Laundry-List • Use all 50 lines • FULLY JUSTIFY your scores… • Verbiage has to match the numerical scores • Review your 1-2-3 scores • List of “good questions” • Last number is not an average • ALO scores might not get them in…but it can keep them out • Need at least 3 contacts (phone contact – OK) • Quotes are excellent… • DONT embarrass the ALO force
CONGRESSIONAL TRAINING • Get to know your Rep and/or Congressional Liaison • Oct - Nov for personal interviews • AF nominations are the tightest • Tons of “freshman” that are still learning the process… • Recommend that the candidates apply to all sources • My recommendation: DON’T interview kids that have not started the application process…coordinate with LOD on kids with nothing done in their package
