Holidays • Holidays are a day of festivity or recreation when no work is done. • The two greatest medieval holidays were Christmas and Easter. • Most of the medieval Europe was looking forward to many festivals and fairs that marked important days of the year. • Most of these celebrations were connected to the church. The year was dedicated to a Christian saint • They also believed about the life of Jesus • It was a very important and a religious concept • Most of the holidays involved music, dancing, and food.
Other entertainment for holidays • They include Bonfires, acrobats, and jugglers. Christmas • Christmas is when Christians celebrate Jesus’s birthday. • In the Middle Ages, people celebrated Christmas for 12 days • Everyone decorated their houses with many things. • People enjoyed a big feast. • Everyone enjoyed this holiday very much.
