Oh bhagavAn, may this salutation be unto you, Lord of the universe, the great God, one who is three-eyed, the destroyer of the states of Tripura, one who pervades the fire and light of sandhyA (when the three fires are lit), the Rudra that is the fire that consumes the universe, the blue-necked one, the conqueror of death, the Lord of all, the ever auspicious one. May He liberate me from attachment, even as the cucumber is severed from the vine. The Maha Mrityunjaya Mantra removes disease, prevents accidents and bestows liberation. It should be repeated daily.
