Siena’s Summer Adventure By Me, Siena!
Black River • I begin with Black River. My Mom and I left on on the second to last day of school for the mother daughter weekend that they offered. Black River is a fun sleep away camp for girls, with over 80 horses! But, we also do fun activities every night like Beach Party Night. They have a lake where you kayak and paddleboat. • They have an aviary with peacocks and chickens, a Horsehead-shaped pool, and adining hall and pavilion, and so, so, much more! Really, it is awesome!
Camp Roeper and Pioneer Camp • I went to Roeper Summer Day Camp with Lauren for my fifth and her third year. We enjoyed morning assemblies, activities like pottery, dance, and Outdoor adventure, and meeting new friends and counselors. • At pioneer camp with Whitney, Lauren, and Maddie, we pretended to live in a log cabin during the pioneer age. Fun!
Italy • My family flew to Rome, Italy! I had been there before, but only as a baby. I enjoyed the bustling city, the sights, and the fashion district! • Then we took a day trip to Positano. 1 word: Lemons! They were everywhere! With a nice beach and lemon slushies, Positano rocked. • Finally, we took a cab to Sorrento, and stayed in the Hilton Hotel with a gorgeous view of the city, the sea and Mount Vesuvius.
Crystal Mountain • This year for Crystal Mountain, I came with my family for our 5th year and the Wilson’s 2nd. We brought Maddieand Gabbie alone for their 1st year. Crystal Mountain has a big resort and spa. We rode the Crystal Coaster, played in the water park, stayed in the building which our room was in [the Kinlochen building] ate at the resort restaurants and played in the grassy hills. We loved to play tag in the running spot and buy peaches from the resort farmers market. They even have a legendary art forest and paintball place! You can ski in the winter.
My Horse, Ko-Ko! • You remember Black River? Well, the horses need homes for the winter. So we get to keep Ko-Ko, an old, sweet, brown horse! We board him at SpringbrookStables and ride him and take care of him. We keep him until May. Go Ko-ko!
Cedar Point and Hershey Park • First , we stopped at Hershey Park on the way to Rhode Island. We stayed in the Hershey Hotel and saw the factory. We had a lot of fun in the huge amusement park and water park. I liked the Super Duper Looperand the Comet Hollow roller coasters best. • Cedar Point. Well, we went with my brother’s friends and their families. I rode the Raptor three times, and it’s my favorite! I wanted to ride the Millennium Force, but I got sick from riding the Sky Hawk. Once or twice I also rode the Blue Streak and Gemini.
Driving to Rhode Island • We also drove to my Grandma and Grandpa’s beach house in Providence. My Nonna [That’s Italian for Grandma] taught us how to make gnocchi, a type of pasta. We played on the beach and on the surfboard in the ocean. Eventually my 12 and 10 year old cousins Brett and Lauren came, too, with my Uncle Walt and Aunt Pam. Fun Stuff!!!
And That Was My Big Summer Adventure!!!!!!!!!! • I Hope you enjoyed!
