POInT – a tactical tool to improve MIS across SI & SM Why are we deploying POInT and why this important? • The workshops on connecting to our scorecard are underway to help ensure people are working on the right things that contribute to the overall scorecard – this is a fantastic start • But we need more detailed and forensic data on our business performance so that we can get an proper picture of our productivity • This information will help us to standardise our operations and understand where we need specialisms • To do this we need to speed up the data gathering – so we are introducing a new management information system (MIS) tool call Point. • This tool will capture the more detailed information we need to understand how productive we are. • Many teams have asked for more understanding on how they contribute to our scorecard (eg RFT improvements) – the information gathered from Point will help individuals and teams to better understand their performance and be empowered to self-improve • The strategic solution will still be SI Simple and HPSM7 but to speed up the information gathering and get the data we need to better run our business we need to use POInT in the short term. What’s next? • There will be face-to-face sessions and knowledge calls to help you understand more about why this is happening and detail on how to use the tool. • User guides, demos, FAQs, feedback channels will be made available shortly
