1. Apollo Tyres Apollo Tyres Ltd. was included on 28 September 1972 as a Public Limited Company and obtained a certificate of Commencement of Business on 24 October 1972. Apollo Tyres Ltd is the world’s seventh-largest Tyre manufacturer, with annual consolidated revenues of 172.76 billion in March 2018. Its first plant was commissioned in Thrissur, Kerala, Perambra and the company now has four manufacturing units in India.
2. CEAT Tyres The company was founded in 1924 as Cavi Elettrici e Affini Torino by Virginio Bruni Tedeschi, in Italy. The company was incorporated as CEAT Tyres of India, in Mumbai on 10 March 1958. Initially, the CEAT Tyre company collaborated with the Tata Group.
3. BKT Tyres Balkrishna Industries Limited (BKT) is a Tyre manufacturing company based in Mumbai, India and founded in 1987. Balkrishna Industries manufactures off-highway Tyres used in specialist segments like earthmoving, mining, gardening, agriculture in five factories located in Dombivali, Aurangabad, Bhiwadi, Bhuj, and Chopanki.
4. Good Year Tyres The Goodyear Tyres & Rubber Company is an American multinational Tyre manufacturing company founded in 1898 by Frank Seiberling and based in Akron. Goodyear manufactures Tyres for automobiles, light trucks, motorcycles, commercial trucks, SUVs, race cars, farm equipment, heavy earth-mover machinery, and aeroplanes.
5. MRF Tyres M. Mammen Mappillai started Madras Rubber Factory as a toy balloon manufacturing unit at Tiruvottiyur, Madras (now Chennai) in 1946. In 1964 the current logo of the company was born, and in 1967, it became the first Indian company to export Tyres to the USA.
6. Birla Tyres In 1991 Birla Tyres was established, as part of Kesoram Industries Limited and Birla Tyres, a division of Kesoram Industries Limited. Then it collaborated with Tyre manufacturer Pirelli, in the production and development of its Tyres. Birla company manufactures Tyres for automobiles, motorcycles, commercial vehicles, farm vehicles, and heavy earthmoving machinery.
7. JK Tyres The JK group was founded in 1888 by Lala Juggilal Singhania & Lala Kamlapat Singhania. The J. K. Organisation is an Indian multi-industry company, with headquarters in Delhi, Mumbai, and Kanpur and owned by the Singhania family.
