  9. The wayside ground explained by Christ Therefore hear the parable of the sower: When anyone hears the word of the kingdom, and does not understand it, then the wicked one comes and snatches away what was sown in his heart. This is he who received seed by the wayside. – Matthew 13:18-19

  10. The wayside ground explained by Christ My people are destroyed for lack of knowledge. Because you have rejected knowledge, I also will reject you from being priest for Me; Because you have forgotten the law of your God, I also will forget your children. - Hosea 4:6

  11. The stony ground explained by Christ But he who received the seed on stony places, this is he who hears the word and immediately receives it with joy; yet he has no root in himself, but endures only for a while. For when tribulation or persecution arises because of the word, immediately he stumbles. – Matthew 13:20-21

  12. The stony ground explained by Christ Beloved, do not think it strange concerning the fiery trial which is to try you, as though some strange thing happened to you; - 1 Peter 4:12

The stony ground explained by Christ But he who received the seed on stony places, this is he who hears the word and immediately receives it with joy; yet he has no root in himself, but endures only for a while. For when tribulation or persecution arises because of the word, immediately he stumbles. – Matthew 13:20-21

  14. The stony ground explained by Christ We are hard- pressed on every side, yet not crushed; we are perplexed, but not in despair; persecuted, but not forsaken; struck down, but not destroyed — always carrying about in the body the dying of the Lord Jesus, that the life of Jesus also may be manifested in our body. - 2 Corinthians 4:8-10

  15. The thorny ground explained by Christ Now he who received seed among the thorns is he who hears the word, and the cares of this world and the deceitfulness of riches choke the word, and he becomes unfruitful. – Matthew 13:22

  16. The thorny ground explained by Christ but exhort one another daily, while it is called " Today," lest any of you be hardened through the deceitfulness of sin. – Hebrews 3:13
