Our background Christer & Gunnel • Met in 1985, vacation in the Rhône valley • Wine club St Jörgen hotel in Malmö • “Munskänkarna” in Lund, member of board • Tatsing panel for “beställningssortimentet” Thord • Normal consumer of quality wine • Conduct the family road carrier company
Our vision • To produce the best dry white wine of Hungary (apart from Tokaj)
Why Badacsony and Hungary • Hungary newly part of EU, reasonable risk • Tokay already purchased, mostly sweet wines • Great potential in other quality regions • Wine of Badacsony known since Roman era • Extremely beautiful area • Budget flight between Sweden and Budapest
Zsuzsanna’s Vineyard • 3,4 hectare, ca 12 000 vines, 25 year old • Steep south exposure, sand, chalk and basalt • 6 ton Pinot Gris, 12 ton Rhine Riesling, 1 ton Zeus (at yield of 5 ton / ha) • Ca 1,5 kg grapes / vine • 1 kg grapes -> 1 bottle of wine

Facts about Sandahl 2006 • Only Riesling • Late harvest in end of October • 2 x 6 ton pressings with whole clusters • Slow pressing -> 3 quality fractions • Good year -> 2/3 premium & 1/3 ordinary wine • Slow and cold fermentation • Fully automatic bottling line
