  6. Handling – Bench Setup Azide Waste Perform all work in the hood Azide - Solid Waste (paper towels, gloves, pipettes) paper towels to catch spills Antidote Clean benchtop Use as much disposable equipment as possible

  7. Personal Protective Equipment Double Glove Lab Coat Safety Goggles (not safety glasses)

  8. Product Hazards (3 + 0) / 6 = 2 (NC + NO) / NN > 3 Should be safe 1 > (NC + NO) / NN > 3 Could be explosive Do not isolate (NC + NO) / NN < 1

  9. Work up procedure Use blast shield when removing solvent in case of explosion

  10. Most Importantly Tell others what you are doing.
