  1. What is PHP? PHP: Hypertext Preprocessor (or simply PHP) is a server-side scripting language designed for web development but also used as a general-purpose programming language. It was originally created by RasmusLerdorf in 1994,the PHP reference implementation is now produced by The PHP Group. PHP originally stood for Personal Home Page but it now stands for the recursive acronym PHP: Hypertext Preprocess

PHP Usage • PHP is a general-purpose scripting language that is especially suited to server-side web development where PHP generally runs on a web server. • PHP code in a requested file is executed by the PHP runtime, usually to create dynamic web page content. • PHP is also used for command-line scripting and client-side GUI applications. PHP can be deployed on most web servers, many operating systems and platforms, and can be used with many relational database management systems.
