Craigmillar Castle The medieval Craigmillar Castle is currently overseen by Historic Scotland and this old L-formed tower house is encompassed by a later castle wall. Craigmillar was at one time a most loved spot for Mary, Queen of Scots, who fled here after the homicide of David Rizzio in 1566, and visitors will have the option to visit various stately apartments .
