To handle the media explosion and consolidate it with weather and stock information, xTV sought a highly robust, media-centric, scalable cloud platform. SITUATION: xTV is a solution that allows users to connect video with feeds while choosing their own design. To ingest, process, and push media for 130 different .TV networks, xTV leverages a combination of most components of the Windows Azure cloud, including: web sites, virtual machines, Windows Azure Cloud Services, Windows Azure SQL Database, Media Services, Traffic Manager, Active Directory, storage instances, and Visual Studio.
