1. Good Molecules Niacinamide Brightening Toner My first foray into niacinamide (better late than never, right?) was when Good Molecules gifted me the Niacinamide Brightening Toner back in September! I’ve heard a ton of good things about niacinamide and I’ve always wanted to try it out, so when I received this in the mail I was beyond stoked. Since then I have been using this pretty consistently for around 2 months and already I am thinking of repurchasing this baby (spoiler alert: I love it). While niacinamide is a multipurpose ingredient that aims to treat varying skin concerns, the good molecules toner is an alcohol-free solution that specifically targets dull skin and enlarged pores, using a blend of ingredients (niacinamide, licorice root extract, and vitamin C) to supposedly even out your skintone, and at the same reducing the appearance of pores on the face for a brighter complexion. As this is a toner, the texture is very watery and extremely lightweight –almost like you’re putting water on your skin.

2. Having used this for quite some time, I would think that there’s a significant improvement in my overall skin tone. I struggle with dull skin quite a fair bit (lack of sleep, diet, you get the drift) and I’m always on the lookout for products that can boost my skin tone. I’m really happy to say that this toner does make my skin look a tad brighter – my forehead is no longer lighter than my cheeks! I attribute this to this toner, but it could be a combination of other factors i.e. sitting in an office the entire day LOL. Secondly, I also noticed that the pores around my nose and cheeks have also gotten a little less noticeable. It’s not a significant difference if you don’t scrutinise my face, but I definitely witnessed its effects for myself. One thing I especially love about this toner, more than its effective results, is that it is so easy to incorporate this product into your routine. I’m someone who doesn’t appreciate change in my skincare routine, so introducing new products take a while for me. Having a toner makes it easy because its safer territory to tread on than targeted serums/ampoules/essences. Plus, you can also adjust the “intensity” of the toner by increasing how many layers you would like on your skin, which is useful especially if you’re introducing a new ingredient to your usual routine. Plus, it also helps that this product is crazy affordable at $14 USD for 120ml. That’s seriously a steal – my previous toner from Fresh cost $45 USD for 150ml, which is almost 3 times the price. Coupled with its effective results and how easy it is to incorporate to your skincare routine, I would definitely recommend this product to my friends!
