  1. Moyers’ Pre-Test There are risks which come with the benefits of the chemical revolution.

  2. How many synthetic chemicals are in our bodies? There are testing for industrial chemicals which were not in our bodies 100 years ago which the grand father of Mr. Moyers did not have in his blood or fat.

  3. The Secret Chemical industry documents reveal that the risks were known by the industry from the beginning. One of the most toxic was vinyl chloride, the chemical Dan Ross was working with.

  4. Moyers’ Post-Test The Mount Sinai School of Medicine tested for 150 industrial chemicals. Mr. Moyers had 84

  5. If Mr. Moyers had been tested at 6 years of age would these chemicals have been found? No. The only exception would have been lead

  6. The Chemical Industry has put chemicals in our bodies which are not good for us: “We did not have any say in this.”

  7. The body does not metabolize these. It is much more of a risk for young women of childbearing age.

  8. Have these chemicals been tested for what happens when they combine? No! This is a complexity we have not even looked at.

  9. We are just beginning to study the effects on vulnerable populations like children

  10. These chemical have been tested enough to know that they are toxic but not enough to know their risks. The Chemical Industry could change over exposures dramatically by its own actions.

  11. It used to be assumed that a developing child in the womb was protected from insults to the mother or her health. That is now known not to be true.
