Technologies that drive this tool CitationFox was proudly built with precision tools of the open source community. Utilizing the richness of PHP, the team entered valuable citation data into the application to create a dynamic teaching tool. The citation data and examples were stored in a MySQL repository. The fluid nature of the CitationFox is due to the nature of jQuery for user interface effects and AJAX server calls. The whole package is a true open source, collaborative effort between library literacy and IT.

Comments / Feedback “I admire the effort and care that has gone into creating this! I think it is valuable in showing the complexity and variation and I like how many good examples you give of how to apply the rules.” S.W., Sheffield UK “Sure love the citation examples..” P.W., Arizona “I love how it works! I haven't checked any of the citations for errors or anything like that, but i LOVE the choices of formats being front and center (unlike KnightCite), and I like the notes fields under the examples in the popup boxes.” C.R., Grand Rapids, MI
