From Traditional to Virtual • In 2012 the Housing Finance Authority of Miami-Dade County emerged as an Independent HFA. Through aggressive Leadership, Strategic Goal Planning and Contemporary Technology Improvements, the HFA has successfully transitioned from a traditional office to a Hybrid Virtual work environment. • Board Docs is one of the many new automation tools of the hybrid setting
HISTORY • Created by the Board of County Commissioners in December 1978 • Mission is to provide capital to alleviate the shortage of affordable housing in the County • Became an independent Authority in December 2012 • Transitioned to a Hybrid Virtual Work Environment October 2013

Board Docs • Complies with The Sunshine Law • Florida's Government-in-the-Sunshine Law was enacted in 1967. Today, the Sunshine Law regarding open government can be found in Chapter 286 of the Florida Statutes.
