Death road! By Timothy Hill
Page 1: Pitch black darkness. Suddenly, four red lights . . . “What are they?” “Ghosts, bats stop!” yells Brad. “It’s a car it’s two cars.” Was it a collision? “Idon’t know yet,”says Brad Standing on top of the seat in the van it was a collision. “Sit down close your eyes no peaking,” yells Brad’s Dad. Do I sneak out or stay in the van? What should I do? If I stay in the van turn to page 2. If I get out turn to page 3.
Page 2: “This is so boring,” whispers Brad. Two white lights eight red ones. Eargghearggh! All I hear is the sound of metal scraping against us, as we are rammed by the truck, I wish I had gotten out.
Page 3: Slowly I crept out the door. Suddenly . . . Earggh! Earggh! A truck rapidly flies towards the van it must be going at least 120km. Smash! I jump out of the way of the crash. What do I do? If I approach the van turn to page 4. If I hide turn to page 5.
Page 4: The smell is revolting, all I see is the blood it’s like a hundred raspberry juice bottles spilt all over the place. Do I dare to go further and see if anyone survived? Time to think and quick! What do I do? If I don’t, turn to page 5. If I do, turn to page 6.
Page 5: Being too frightened I hide away, I hear the sound of Brad’s voice groaning. In an attempt to save him I stumble towards the crash, accidently pushing a switch for the window with my head being just above it, it crushes me. I cant breath everything goes dark…… The end.
Page 6: I continue hardly able to move through the stench. I hear a sudden groan. I creep towards the sound. I find Brad lying on his back, blood oozes out. Should I save him doom or not, what do I do? If I do turn to page 7. If I don’t turn to page 8.
Page 7: I pick up Brad, he feels lighter than usual, that’s probably because of all the blood he's lost. I reach into his pocket to see if he has his phone on him . . . . nothing. I see a shadow, that kind of looks like someone drunk trying to walk straight, do I approach it or get Brad and I out of there. What do I do? If I approach the shadow turn to page 9. If I don’t turn to page 10.
Page 8: I can’t continue the smell and fear are too much, I leave Brad to his doom. While I’m scuttling away I accidently kick some gas at the burning truck. Boom!!! Bad mistake, I think, as my skull burns to a crisp. The end
Page 9: I approach the shadow, with Brad on my back. The shadow starts moving faster and faster, “You!” It’s the truck driver. “I'm going to get you kids” I drop Brad and run for my life. I stop in shock body shaking like a rocket about to take off. The truck driver walks up and says “This is for my truck.” Smash! All I remember is a black figure flying towards my head. The end
Page 10: I gather up some strength and run as hard as I can, keeping in mind that I was still carrying Brad on my back. I got to the top of a hill I can see the city the hospital is still a good 5km away, I continue along the road. vrumm! Vrumm! ‘Are yous hitch hikers’ no we were in a crash, I say as blood trickle's down my face. ‘What’! Yells the stranger “Come on get in so where to?” “Hospital and quick,” I replied thankfully. We get to the hospital with only minutes left, as Brad vomits blood spluttering everywhere “Send him to the e department,” screams a shocked nurse. “Don’t worry kid you did all you could” says the stranger. Somehow I don’t think that was enough, as a doctor glances back mournfully in my direction. The end.
