  3. Punishment was used when someone broke the law. This is the pillory used for punishment.

  4. Ducking Stool (for women) Women who were accused as witches were hung on the ducking stool over a stream. They were dropped into the stream and if they floated, they were accused of being a witch. If they drowned, they were not a witch.

  5. Tudor Houses

  6. Tudor houses were normally made from timber, wattle and daub ( a mixture of sticks, straw and dung) and wooden shutters ( bars for windows).

  7. The wattle and daub was used as cement to stick the wood together to form the houses. The windows were the wooden shutters. They looked like the windows of prison cells!

  10. Henry VIII ( Reigned from 21 April, 1509 to 28 January, 1547 ) Henry VIII is a rich, powerful Tudor king. He wore lots and lots of jewels, which is quite unlikely for Tudor males, as most of the Tudors weren’t rich. He wore magnificent clothes and he had ginger hair and a ginger beard.

  11. Sir Francis Drake • Sir Francis Drake was a pirate for the queen, Elizabeth I, and he brought her many treasures from his adventures in faraway countries.

  12. Queen Elizabeth I(Reigned from 17th November 1558 to 24th March 1603 Queen Elizabeth was the daughter of Henry VIII and his second wife, Anne Boleyn. She was born on 7th September 1533 and died on 24th March 1603. She didn’t marry anybody, unlike her dad! She was a beloved queen!
