POW REQUIREMENTS(Due by October 1st) • MUST AFFILIATE AT LEAST 10 MEMBERS • SUBMIT A CHAPTER BUDGET • SUBMIT A CHAPTER PLAN OF YEARLY ACTIVITIES • LOCAL CHAPTER OFFICER TRAINING VERIFICATION (RECOGNITION AT FALL LDC)

FALL RALLY COMPETITIONS • NEW-CHAPTER POSTER CONTEST- TURN IN AT THE RALLY, NARROW DOWN TO TOP 10 & PARTICIPANT VOTING- 25 CENTS PER VOTE, PROCEEDS GO TO CHOA. • CHAPTER T-SHIRT-MUST BE MAILED TO STATE OFFICE BY SEPTEMBER 28TH. • CHAPTER BROCHURE- EMAILED BY OCTOBER 4TH (GENERAL DECA MEMBERSHIP OR GEORGIA DECA FOUNDATION) • INDIVIDUAL THEME SPEECH EVENT- MUST BE REGISTERED FOR THE RALLY.

FALL LDC COMPETITIONS • STATESMAN TESTING-OPEN TO ADVISORS AND STUDENTS, MUST SCORE 90% • MEMBERSHIP RECRUITMENT- ENTRY FORMS DUE OCTOBER 18TH • FOUNDATION THEME BASKET- ENTRY FORM DUE OCTOBER 18TH • TOP 10 LARGEST CHAPTERS- DEADLINE TO AFFILIATE IS OCTOBER 19th

Marketing Series With the Hawks • December 5th • College Fair and Sports marketing Speaker Series program with special guests will begin at 1:30 PM in Philips Arena • Prices- $23-$55
DeVry Innovation and Entrepreneurship Challenge www.deca.org/events/entrepreneurshipchallenge • Participants present ideas to launch innovate business concepts • Financially viable • Enhances the lives of North American consumer • All members are eligible • 1-3 members per team • Multiple entries per chapter are allowed • Present concepts via YouTube video
Using in the Classroom • Entrepreneurship Courses • Break down video sections into lessons and activities • Upon completing each section’s lesson and activity, students would have everything to present on camera
FIDM Challenge www.deca.org/events/fidmchallenge • Participants create a fashionable, trendy garment using previously used fabrics or garments • Create a marketing campaign focusing on sustainable fashion • Cost of materials cannot exceed $20 • All members are eligible • 1-3 members per team • Multiple entries per chapter are allowed • Present garment and plan via YouTube video
Using in the Classroom • Fashion Marketing, Fashion Merchandising, Fashion Design Courses • Break down video sections into lessons and activities • Upon completing each section’s lesson and activity, students would have everything to present on camera
Finish Line Challenge www.deca.org/events/finishlinechallenge • Participants will analyze Finish Line’s Omni-Channel strategy • Customer experience through mobile technology, Internet, social media, offline media, and in-store • All members are eligible • 1-3 members per team • Multiple entries per chapter are allowed • Present research data and recommendations via YouTube video
