There are different types of viruses there are some that don't do much harm such as annoying messages and others destroy the system. • Viruses can get into to your pc system by many ways such as emails, dodgy websites, downloading things.

4. identity theft • Identity theft is common now a days, thief's use pc’s to steel other peoples identity to get information out of other people for example pretending to be a employee of a bank trying to get information of a customer. You can stop this by asking questions about him if you feel unsure don't give details over the phone contact your bank your self.

5. firewalls • A firewall is a program that is located at a network gateway that protects pc’s by checking information that the network is bringing to your pc it either allows it or Denys it. Firewalls help protect hackers getting into your pc to take information,afirewall can also help stop your computer from sending malicious software to other computers.

6. Secure Socket Layers (SSL); • Secure Socket Layers is a protocol that communicates over a network or with a web browser securely.

7. strong passwords • Every one should have a unique id number to log into the pc try to keep this safe so people dont try and guess your password. Passwords need to be very strong and not something simple that people would know of eg your full name. You can try make a hard password by using both numeric and letters.
