  4. Maryland MEP Manufacturing Workforce Panel’s CAREER PATHWAYS WORKSHOPS Developing Solutions to Your Workforce Problems Career Pathways Workshop What is it? EARN for Maryland Manufacturers What do you need from your employees and new hires to grow? MD MEP has been contracted by the State of Maryland to convene several 1-day workshops to bring together leadership of manufacturing organizations throughout the State to identify current and future workforce problems.  The results of this program will be used to define upcoming solicitations for funding under the recently announced EARN Program (Employment Advancement Right Now).  MD MEP is committed to making sure that the voice of industry is heard in defining real challenges and identifying real opportunities for manufacturers within the State. Companies who participate in this workshop will be positioned to respond as part of a consortium to the EARN solicitation in the fall with the understanding that you are the thought leaders and early adopters to affect change. EARN’s most notable innovation is that it mandates industry-led, collaborative employee strategies in specific sectors of the economy. EARN for Maryland Manufacturers is an employer led program created by you, a Maryland Manufacturer, to address your needs in developing a highly skilled and productive workforce to meet your client(s) demands. We are asking Manufacturers to come together to identify challenges, and opportunities, and create unique and innovative solutions to workforce problems. Through this collaborative effort, EARN is intended to fund programs specific and unique to the manufacturing community to address its workforce needs. MD MEP is fully committed to developing your ideas into real results.
