WHAT IS YOUTH RALLY? www.Rally4Youth.org Non-profit 501(c)(3) organization • Week-long summer camp dedicated to children and teens living with conditions of the bowel and/or bladder systems • Ultimate goal: Instill confidence and a strong sense of self worth so that no child ever feels alone because of their physical and or medical differences

WHAT IS YOUTH RALLY? www.Rally4Youth.org Youth Rally [yooth ral-ee] noun An opportunity for children living with chronic disease, congenital birth defects, and others who have been victims of trauma to: • Learn about themselves and about each other • Grow and gain confidence • HAVE FUN! • Connect to others who live with similar conditions • Develop healthy coping mechanisms and positive role models • Inspireone another to do great things! • Be themselves, always.

  5. YOUTH RALLY CAMPERS www.Rally4Youth.org Who can attend? Youth from all over the United States (and abroad) ages 11-17 with: ANY type of bowel or bladder disease/dysfunction

YOUTH RALLY COUNSELORS www.Rally4Youth.org Team of adult volunteers • Age 18 and over • Living with similar bowel and/or bladder dysfunction • Former campers Roles include: • Mentor • Assistant to nursing team • Coordination of program activities • Facilitation of peer discussion groups • Facilitation of medical discussion groups • Ambassadors of FUN!

YOUTH RALLY NURSES www.Rally4Youth.org Team of adult volunteers • Age 18 and over • Registered Nurses (RNs) • Specialists is Wound, Ostomy, and Continence Nursing (WOCN) Roles include: • Administration of medication • Assisting in bowel/bladder management • Participation in program activities • Facilitation of medical discussion groups • Ambassadors of FUN! • Ambassadors of HYGIENE!

  8. YOUTH RALLY EDCUATION www.Rally4Youth.org Topics Include: • Diseases & conditions • Self management • Communication • Self-esteem • Wellness • Hygiene • Social issues • Decision making • Sexuality • Advocacy • Preparing for high school & college

  9. YOUTH RALLY FUN www.Rally4Youth.org • Field trips • Fitness day • Free time • Craft room • Graduation dance • Games & Prizes • Team building

  10. WHERE IS YOUTH RALLY? www.Rally4Youth.org Location criteria • Proximity to a major children’s hospital • Varity of local area attractions • Accessible college campus • Major airport hub

HOW CAN YOU HELP? www.Rally4Youth.org Youth Rally relies solely on generous donations from: • Corporations • Employers • Non-profit organizations • Regional support groups • Individuals • YRC Volunteers Camper sponsorship is available YOUTH RALLY MISSION: No child is ever turned away related to inability to pay registration and/or travel costs.

  12. HOW CAN YOU HELP? www.Rally4Youth.org Become a Youth Rally Community Partner! • There are various levels of donation/sponsorship • All donations are tax deductible • All donations go directly towards Youth Rally programming and scholarship

  13. www.Rally4Youth.org HOW WILL YOU SUPPORT THE YOUTH RALLY IN 2014/15??? • Make a monetary donation • Encourage your employer to become a community partner • Sponsor a camper or counselor • Pass out brochures to local care providers • Hold a fundraiser for programming/sponsorship • Write an article to your local paper • Visit the Youth Rally AMAZON WISH LIST • Contact or local WOCN and/or school nurses
