YES! THERE ARE RULES IN SEMINAR!Arrive early and be prepared to discuss the items listed on the agenda. (course home page and announcements) You may arrive 15 minutes early to Seminar.
Seminar Rules • If you arrive late to seminar, get bumped out due to technical difficulties and come back in, or decide to leave early, please do not announce yourself or apologize to the class. It is very distracting for the class and me.
Seminar 1 • If you have a question, type "QUESTION" in seminar. It is viewed the same as raising your hand in class. • You must Follow Netiquette guidelines at all times. • If you have a technical problem, please contact Tech Services at 1-888-747-6710 then email me directly after the class and explain what happened. • Have fun.

Forms of Medical Business Ownership • Sole Proprietorship • Partnership • Corporation
THE HEALTHCARE PROFESSIONAL • Advantage of a sole proprietorship? Privacy, flexibility, tax advantages, NO others work with you/Dr. • Partnerships can be good but the disadvantages are: life cycle is limited, can have management problems, and personality conflicts. • Incorporating, means: limited liability, unlimited span or life cycle of business, BUT high taxes are a disadvantage.
THE HEALTHCARE PROFESSIONAL • Types of Corporations • Open • Closed • Non-profit • Single person
