Basics on new FamilySearch. click. #1 Problem . “I can’t remember my Sign-in name and/or password” If you have forgotten your Sing-in name, click on the Forgot link under the Sing-in name box. If you have just forgotten your Password, click on the Forgot link under the Password box.

#1 Problem “I can’t remember my Sign-in name and/or password” If you have forgotten your Sing-in name, click on the Forgot link under the Sing-in name box. If you have just forgotten your Password, click on the Forgot link under the Password box. Let’s take the link for the Sign-in name. click
Sign-in Name Help Only Members can have a Sign-in Name So click on the “are you a member” question. click
Data Entry Enter Data just as you did for registration. click
Just Checking Same check that was in the registration. click
Finally Now you can see your Sign-in Name. Forgot password too? Or just need to sign-in. click
Reset Your Password Answer Two of the three questions. click
NEW Password You can put anything here that meets the requirement, even what you thought was your old password. Enter the password again to make sure you entered what you thought you did the first time. click
Main Page or Home Page You can use Help Center to learn newFamilySearch. click

Information needed Three items needed from the patron. Full name as recorded on the church records. Their birth date with the month spelled out and spaces. The default “Helper access number” is the last five digits of their membership number. click
New sign-in Screen If you are helping over the phone, you do not see their screen. You see their data. You do not have to sign in as a helper if they can give you the Personal Identifier of the person they needs help. click
Individual Summary Personal Identifier Summary data can be selected by you. Summary Data is what gets printed on the Family Ordinance Request (FOR) which get taken to the Temple for Temple cards. To be Continued. click
