  2. November 9th, 1864- Booth visited Bryantown Tavern. He wanted to exchange information (96). March 6th- The last picture of Lincoln was taken. It took place on the White House balcony (4). April 3rd- Richmond, Virginia fell to Union forces. It is the capital city of the Confederate States of America. This led to the end of the Civil War (2). March 4th- The Presidential Inauguration took place. Smith framed a view from marble statue of George Washington (1). April 7th- John Wilkes Booth was thinking about killing Lincoln. However, he missed the opportunity (5). March 17th- Booth planned to ambush Lincoln's carriage. He failed to do so (24).

  3. April 10th- Abraham Lincoln was at the second floor window of the White House. He greeted a crowd of citizens who were celebrating General Lee’s surrender (5). April 8th- Booth left New York City. Then, he returned to Washington D.C. (5). April 13th- Washington celebrated the end of the war with a Grand Illumination of the cities. Cities glowed with candles, torchlights, gaslights, and fireworks (13). April 11th- A torchlight parade of a few thousand people assembled in front of the executive mansion. Lincoln made a long speech (7). April 9th- Confederate General Robert E. Lee and the army of Northern Virginia surrendered to Union General Grant. This took place at Appomattox (5). April 14th- Booth started planning the killing of Lincoln. He picked up his mail to find an important letter for him (10).

April 15th- Lincoln died at 7.22 in the morning. Because of where he was shot, he could not recover (103). April 15th- Booth was in danger. Only Samuel Mudd stood between him and the disaster (111). April 16th- Stanton had no idea of John Wilkes Booth’s destination. He tried thinking of places to go (125). April 14th- Abraham Lincoln was assassinated. John Wilkes Booth was the assassin (73).

He was killed by Sergeant Boston Corbett (178). April 25th- The sixteenth New York Cavalry rode to Port Conway. Luther Baker spotted William Rollins.
