  2. Exodus 20:1-17 Commandment No.1 Exodus 20:2-3"I am the LORD your God, who brought you out of Egypt, out of the land of slavery. You shall have no other gods before me.” Commandment No.2 Exodus 20:4"You shall not make for yourself an idol in the form of anything in heaven above or on the earth beneath or in the waters below.” Commandment No.3 Exodus 20:7"You shall not misuse the name of the LORD your God” Commandment No.4 Exodus 20:8"Remember the Sabbath day by keeping it holy.” Commandment No. 5 Exodus 20:12"Honour your father and your mother.” Commandment No.6 Exodus 20:13"You shall not murder.” Commandment No.7 Exodus 20:14"You shall not commit adultery.”

New Testament Greek = “porneia” - immorality Hebrew for adultery = [nâ'aph] נאף Translation = apostasy; treachery; immorality

Should a man take his body, which is part of Christ, and join it to a prostitute? Never! And don’t you realize that if a man joins himself to a prostitute, he becomes one body with her? For the Scriptures say, “The two are united into one.” But the person who is joined to the Lord is one spirit with him. Run from sexual sin! No other sin so clearly affects the body as this one does. For sexual immorality is a sin against your own body.” Think... what kind of world we would live in today, if this commandment was obeyed?

Once I tarnish a reputation, it is never the same.I topple governments and ruin marriages.I end ministries set up by God.I ruin careers and cause sleepless nights, heartache and indigestion.I spawn suspicion and generate grief.I make headlines, headaches and heartachesI make innocent people cry in their pillows.Even my name hisses… Gossssip!

Once I tarnish a reputation, it is never the same.I topple governments and ruin marriages.I end ministries set up by God.I ruin careers and cause sleepless nights, heartache and indigestion.I spawn suspicion and generate grief.I make headlines, headaches and heartachesI make innocent people cry in their pillows.Even my name hisses… Gossssip!

You must not covet your neighbour’s wife, male or female servant, ox or donkey, or anything else that belongs to your neighbour.” (NLT) Commandment No.10 What does it mean to covert? 1 Timothy 6:10“For the love of money is the root of all evil: which while some coveted after, they have erred from the faith, and pierced themselves through with many sorrows.” (KJV)

You must not covet your neighbour’s wife, male or female servant, ox or donkey, or anything else that belongs to your neighbour.” (NLT) Commandment No.10 What does it mean to covert? Colossians 3:5“Therefore put to death your members which are on the earth: fornication, uncleanness, passion, evil desire, and covetousness, which is idolatry.” (NKJV)

  16. Is God No.1 In Your Life? Exodus 20:1-18 Prayer of Salvation Heavenly Father, save me from my sins. I believe that Jesus died and shed His blood for me and He rose again so I could live for you. Fill me with your Holy Spirit so I can serve you with all of my heart, fully devoted to you. Thank you for new life; and tonight I give you my life - In Jesus' name I pray.
