  1. When Should You Buy Your Toddler’s First Pair of Shoes? You don’t need to purchase your baby girl's first shoes until she confidently walks around outside.

  2. While your girl is learning to walk around the house, first let her go barefoot. She will be able to coordinate and balance her steps better if she can feel the ground beneath her feet. Going barefoot will also allow your girl's feet to develop naturally without being restricted by tight socks or shoes. Your toddler’s bones are soft, and cramping them in a pair of shoes too early can squeeze her feet and prevent them from growing properly. It is always best to take your baby to a shoe shop or shop for girls' shoes online where her feet can be measured by a qualified girl's shoe fitter. Ask the shop staff if you are not sure. Your toddler girl shoe fitter will advise on the type of shoes to purchase and make sure they fit your toddler correctly while also allowing for growing room. Being fitted for her first toddler shoes for girls is a new experience for your baby, and she may not take kindly to it. Try not to panic too much if she makes a fuss or starts crying. The fitter should be experienced in measuring babies for their first shoes. If they are not, ask for a more experienced fitter to measure your toddler shoes for girls or just come back another day. Saturday & Sunday are always very busy, so if your girl is likely to cause a fuss, try to take her for a fitting during the weekday.

  3. Your toddler will need shoes of a specific width and length. Toddler's shoe lengths start from size three. The width of your girl's feet will be between D & H, with F & G being the most common widths. Look for a supportive shoe with a buckle or Velcro fastening to hold your girl's feet in place. Check that the sole is lightweight and flexible with a good grip. Take your toddler to have her feet measured every 6 weeks to 8 weeks. She will grow about 2 shoe sizes a year, so she will need new shoes frequently. Continue to have your girls feet measured every 6 weeks to 8 weeks until she is about 4 years old. After this, you can get them measured every 3 months.

  4. Check the size of your girl's socks regularly, too. If your toddler needs a larger shoe, then she will also need bigger socks. Also Read:- Toddler Girl Shoes: Cute Shoes in Every Style for Your Baby It is always best to shop for girls' shoes. Second-hand shoes won’t give your girl the right support for her developing feet. They will already be moulded to another girl's feet, and the soles will have worn down to fit a different walking style to another girl’s foot, and the soles will have worn down to fit a walking style. Let your girl walk around in the shoes. Make sure that your girl's feet don’t slip forwards or out of the shoes when she walks or stands on tiptoe. If her feet slip forwards, this could crush her toes at the end of her shoes. If your girl's shoes are too loose, she will end up having to curl her feet and toes to prevent them from slipping off.
