JPI “Ageing Society” • European Workshop on 28/29 January 2010 in Berlin • Chair: Ursula M. Staudinger, Professor of Psychology, Jacobs University Bremen • 4 Parallel Sessions on • Health & Performance • Welfare & Social Systems including Work & Productivity • Education & Learning • Housing, Urban-Rural Development & Mobility • Over 150 registered participants from 20 EU-MS, 4 non-EU • Participants include 25 government/research council representatives, 43 universities, 31 non-academic research institutes. • Workshop website: http://www.jp-demographic.eu/
JPI Climate Change "Enhancing the Utility of Climate Knowledge for Decision Making in Europe (EU-CliDec)" • Current status/activities: • Meeting of delegations from Germany, Austria and Finland (JPI „Living with Climate Change“) in January 2010: • Delegations agreed to merge proposals • New proposal text is about to be elaborated • MS are requested to coordinate internally their representation at Workshop:1 person per MS plus 1-2 scientists with relevant experience • Further steps: • 23-24 February 2010: JPI workshop at Berlin (Umweltforum). All MS representatives are invited to participate • 19 March 2010: Presentation of applicable proposal at GPC meeting • Until 4 May 2010: incorporation of feedback for final scrutiny • 4 May 2010: Presentation of the revised proposal at the GPC meeting, GPC decision
