The MDG Perspective Is Mozambique on track to reach the MDGs? • Preliminary studies suggest that a substantial increase in implementation rates are required for meeting both the water supply and sanitation targets. • Preliminary calculations estimate that significant increases in investment will be needed to meet the rural water targets, while a smaller increase will be needed to meet the urban water targets. Sanitation needs are not yet fully assessed.
