polygon • Is a closed plane figure formed by three or more line segments that meet at points called vertices.
heptagon • Is a closed plane shape formed by SEVEN line segments.
NonaGon • Is a closed plane shape formed by NINE line segments.
Regular Polygon • A polygon with all sides congruent and all angles congruent.
Congruent • A figure with all the same length line segments and has the same measurement for each angle.
Equilateral Triangle • A triangle with three congruent sides.
Isosceles Triangle • A triangle with 2 congruent sides.
Scalene Triangle • A triangle with no congruent sides.
Quadrilaterals • A closed figure made by four sides and four angles.
Parallelogram • A closed shape with opposite sides congruent and parallel.
Rectangle • Is a special parallelogram with four right angles and four pairs of perpendicular lines.
Square • Is a special parallelogram with four congruent sides and four right angles.

Edges • Is a line segment that joins to vertices.
Vertex or Vertices • Are a point where two or more line segments meet.
Nets • A pattern that you can cut and fold to make a model of a solid shape.
