OUR STATUE Sixth Grade in Shanghais Sixth grade in Shanghais is shaped by school. School takes place from 8am to 5pm for 260 days a year. After school, students attend cram schools that help them prepare for national school examinations that enable them to attend the best high schools. School takes place on Saturdays and there is little time for extracurriculuar activities outside of school. Shanghais is a leading financial center of the world and the city is booming with business and opportunities for jobs. The people are mostly Buddhist and values are still shaped by Confucius. Students greatly respect views of their elders and parents. The government is communist and restricts freedom of the people in the city, but the growing economy as provided greater economic choice and connections to the rest of the world.
