Some states that surround Florida are Alabama, Georgia, and South Carolina.
The region is the south East.
Some major body of water is the John st. river st. Mary river st. the Gulf of Mexico , and the Atlantic Ocean.
3. Fun Facts The State gem is the moonstone.
The state fossil is eupatagus fossil. (a type of sand dollar.)
The state inset is a Zebra longwing butterfly
And one of the states nickname is the Orange state.
The State capital is Tallahassee.
4. Tourist Attractions Some tourist attractions are Disney World that include space mountain , and blizzard beach .
Another tourist attraction is Miami Beach .
5. Natural Resources Some natural resources are oranges, coal , lumber , water , fish , lumber ,and water.
6. Wildlife One animal is the alligator, the state reptile.
The state mammal is the Florida Panther.
The State salt water mammal is the dolphin
And the State bird is the mocking bird
7. Famous People Ponce de Leon discovered Florida he named it Florida because of its flowers. Pascua de Florida meaning feast of flowers.
Steve Carlton was a baseball player from Florida. He won 20 games or more and lost only 6!
8. Agriculture Some crops that grow there are oranges.
Also, grapes, grapefruit, bananas, strawberries, blue berries and other fruit grow there.
9. The Everglades The Everglades is where endangered animals live if they dont have a place to live.
Black bears, deer,and most of all alligators live there.
10. Extra The State motto is In God we trust.
It has 7 nicknames , one is the gator State.
The climate is humid and subtropical.
This is the State quarter.
