  4. ADNOC & environment Over the past years ADNOC and its Group Companies have worked hard to promote HSE best practices and to improve its HSE performance in all aspects.

  5. Who makes the policies? • The Company participates with • its parent Company • sister companies • To set up policies and guidelines

  6. Procedures –What do they do? • Policy list (rules) • Reduce greenhouse gas emissions in order to mitigate climate change • Protect the environment and biodiversity • Develop and use energy and water resources efficiently • Be transparent in the public reporting of the Group’s HSE performance

  7. Preventing and educating about conservation • SMS about Earth hour • ADNOC honors all employees who have made achievements in the HSE

  8. Reasons for HSE • Government law • Large company (protect) • Won award for environment • Participated in earth hour • Help save environment

  9. Goals to protect the environment • Solid wastes Control and minimize all solid and other wastes and treat and dispose as per international standards. • Oil and chemical spills Prevent oil and chemical spills and, if they do occur, clean them up in a timely and environmental friendly manner.

  10. Flaring Strive towards ultimate elimination of hydrocarbon flaring. • Discharges to water Re-inject water and other fluids where it is compatible with the surface environment and can be discharged in line with international standards.
