REGISTRATION INFO. • REGISTRATION SHEET (must bring the day of registration) • Honors/AP classes summer reading will be available in the Main Office – May/June • Math and Foreign Language require a grade of “C” or better to move to next level • Parent and Student Signature and cell phone number ARE REQUIRED on registration form • On track students must select at least five classes. Credit deficient students must have a minimum of 6 classes • Everyone must select 2 alternate classes

Why take AP classes? • 19 AP courses offered • May earn college credit if score of 3, 4 or 5 on AP exam (5 is the maximum score) • Gain experience of taking college level courses • Competitive colleges recommend AP courses for admission consideration.
RUSD Graduation and UC/CSU “A-G” Requirements Passing score on the California High School Exit Exam is also required for Graduation.
GRADUATION CONCERNS • Credit Deficient: less than 155 credits at the start of your Senior year • Not Passed the CAHSEE ELA and/or Math • A conference with parents will be scheduled -purposeis to get you on track for graduation and to explore post high school options • Letter will be mailed home to your parents • Appointments will be made by Guidance Secretary

Summer School • Application Process • See your counselor for class selection! • Pick up application from counter in Main Office – available week prior to spring break • Complete application and follow directions by required deadline • Space is limited, on a “first come first served” basis • Summer School List posted during finals week. • If NOT on the list: come on the first day of summer school to see if there are “no-shows”. You must have application on file to be considered for these slots
Reminders Class of 2015 • Complete Letter of Recommendation Packet by Fall 2014 (online rusdlink.org/poly). This is mandatory for your counselor to write college recommendation &/or scholarship letters for you. • Submit 3-4 teacher comment forms (also online) • Take SAT/ACT by June 2014 • Take SAT Subject tests by June 2014 (if UC-bound) • Get Good Grades - No D’s • Visit college campuses during Spring Break • Volunteer over the summer
