Campus Events • TEAM Buzz • What: SWE is giving back to the Atlanta community by participating in TEAM Buzz! • When: November 3, 7:30 am - 1 pm • Where: Meet at the Campanile • SWE is helping at the Blue Heron Nature Reserve.  Sign up online (main.teambuzz.org) Oct. 8-12 with the code sweservice.  Participants will get free breakfast and lunch, a free t-shirt, and 1 SWE point per hour. • Women's Leadership Conference • When: November 2-3 • Where: Student Center Ballroom • http://womenscenter.gatech.edu/wlc/

T-shirt Design Contest • When: Submit designs at swecampus@gmail.com by Tuesday, November 6. • What: The Exec board thinks it’s time to change up our general SWE shirt, and we’d love for YOU to design our next shirt! The Exec board will select a design based on creativity and economic feasibility (additional ink colors make shirts more expensive). Everyone who submits a design will get 1 SWE point, and the winner will get 3 SWE Points + a free t-shirt.

Campus Events • Engineer’s Ball • When: January 11, 2013, 9 pm – midnight • Where: Student Center Ball Room • SWE is hosting a semiformal for the entire campus, and all proceeds will go to a local charity! Sign up on the sheet or contact Christina at sweengineersball@gmail.com to learn how you can help with publicity and ticket sales!

Conference • SME Bowl • The Subject Matter Expert (SME) Bowl, sponsored by ExxonMobil, is a competition that challenges SWE Students to show their stuff in the areas of science, math, physics, engineering, and technology. It also challenges the students in their knowledge of SWE history and policies. This year, the SME bowl will take place from 2 - 5 pm on the Saturday of Conference. Both the region and the individuals of the top three teams will receive cash prizes! • Career Center • Career.swe.org • Post your resume for visibility!

  7. Social Events SWE/WECE Halloween Party! Where: Klaus Atrium When: Monday, October 29th 7-9 PM Enjoy free snacks and desserts, music, and games! Come dressed in your best costume and win gift cards and other prizes! SWE/WECE Pumpkin Carving: Where: Van Leer Middle Hallway 4th floor When: Sunday, October 28th 6-9 pm The rules: Sign up to be allocated one pumpkin to carve. All materials will be provided. You can enter your pumpkin in our Halloween contest (to be voted on Monday, Oct. 29th in Klaus Atrium 7-9) or take it home!   12. Outreach • Fall Middle School Outreach  • Where: Bill Moore Student Success Center • When: Sunday, November 4, 2012 from 12:00 PM to 5:00 PM. The event is from noon until 5pm but we need volunteers to set-up(11-noon), during the event, and for clean-up(5-6) • What:  We need volunteers during the event to be doing activities with the girls (we will show you what activities we're doing before the event.) In order to help engineering thrive and remain diverse, we need to share the excitement with girls in grades K-12. Education and awareness must start now, well before college. The future is in our hands. Help us place it in theirs
