Old River The river is a old man, Who’s clumsy yet serene, He calls for help, But no-one listens. Poor and lonely is the man, With a small rock heart, Alone and bony just like a skeleton man, Not admired in any way, He limps across the road although he says that he is dancing, A boat passes and his life slips away, He shouts out to the world ‘goodbye!’ By Mariam
