Feasibility Report to Replace showerheads in the dormitory and apartment buildings June 15, 2011 TCO 341
Problem • Currently only sixty percent of Mercer University uses low-flow showerheads. • Mercer University could save $114.24 per student each year after installing one hundred percent low-flow showerheads on campus.
Alternatives Replace the current showerheads with low-flow showerheads that are: • Fixed with single-setting design • Fixed with multiple-setting design • Handheld design • Fixed Rainfall design
Criteria • Cost • Accuracy • Durability • Maintenance
Recommendation • I recommend that Mercer University install the fixed single-setting low-flow showerheads in the dormitory and apartment buildings.
