In this blog, we will explore essential strategies and practices to keep children safe in education, ensuring their physical, emotional, and psychological security staying in line with Keeping Children Safe in Education Sept 2022 Creating a Safe Physical Environment: a. Infrastructure and Maintenance: Schools should maintain well- designed facilities, regular safety inspections, and adhere to building codes and safety standards to prevent accidents and hazards. b. Security Measures: Implement security protocols such as controlled access, surveillance systems, and visitor management systems to regulate entry and ensure the safety of students. Vigilance and Supervision: a. Staff Training: Provide comprehensive training to staff members, including teachers, administrators, and support staff, on child protection policies, recognising signs of abuse, and reporting procedures.
