Macaroni Cheese Recipe • Ingredients: 60g macaroni, 50g cheddar cheese, 20g margarine, • 20g plain flour, 200ml milk, • Equipment: 2 saucepans, colander, wooden spoon, grater, bowl, ovenproof dish, measuring jug • Collect equipment and ingredients and set oven to 180 degrees • Grate cheese into a bowl • Half fill a saucepan with water and bring to the boil. Add pasta. • Melt margarine in a saucepan. Add flour to form a paste (a roux) • Add milk a little at a time and stir thoroughly to remove lumps • Add half the cheese and any extra flavouring to the sauce and stir • Remove sauce from the heat • Test pasta, drain and add to the sauce and stir together • Pour mixture into an ovenproof dish, sprinkle with remaining cheese and place in the oven for 10 mins
