  4. Is the table a linear or non linear function? Linear $100

  5. BAAM! Say ‘goodbye’ to your money!

  6. Is the mapping showing a function? -1 0 1 2 1 0 1 4 yes $10

  7. BAAM! You are broke!

  8. Is the table showing a function? no $600

  9. Is the table showing a function? yes $300

  10. BAAM! Where’s your money gone?

  11. BAAM! Unlucky!

  12. Is the table showing a linear or nonlinear function? nonlinear $100

  13. BAAM! Oh dear!

  14. Is the graph a linear or nonlinear relationship? nonlinear $10

  15. Write the equation for a line with a y-intercept of 3 that also passes through the point (2,5). y= x +3

  16. y = 3x + 2 y = 3x – 2 Look at the 2 equations above. Choose the statement that best fits the comparison of the two equations. a) The items have different y-intercepts and different rates of change. b) The rates of change are the same, but the y-intercepts are different. c) The items have the same y-intercepts and the same rate of change. d) The y-intercepts are the same, but the rates of change are different. $600 b

  17. BAAM! Oops!

  18. What is the name of the method used to look at a graph and decide whether it is a function? Vertical line test

  19. Write the equation for the table. y = -3x – 9

  20. Is the graph showing a linear or nonlinear relationship? linear $10

  21. Draw a parabola to show when it would NOT represent a function? Laying on its side
